Since I can remember I've always liked the darker side of things. Found beauty in the ugly. Been an optimistic pessimist. I guess it's no surprise that when it comes to fiction I gravitate toward the monsters and freaks. I definitely love Urban Fantasy most of all but am a romantic at heart so speculative fiction with romantic themes whether adult or young adult make up the majority of my reading. Some of my favorite authors are Meljean Brook, Julie Kagawa, Allison Pang, Stacey Jay and Richelle Mead.
I'm not a big fan of television (when you've got kids and the thing is on 24/7 quiet time is a luxury) but if I find out about a show I will probably enjoy, I schedule TV time. While True Blood and Syfy's Being Human satisfy my UF tastebuds I'm a Castle fanatic and not-so-closet Pretty Little Liars addict. Other favorites include Sons of Anarchy, Spartacus and Dexter.
