What a lousy week. My birthday fell on election day this year. The only good part of it was that the teacher and students I work with made me feel super special. I try not to talk about politics here but let's just say I am horrified at what has happened. Just terrified for our nation in a way that I haven't experienced in my lifetime.Tonight I'm sitting down, eating a mountain of pizza, and guzzling some beer. What else ya gonna do when you're this out of sorts? Okay, there'll probably be some reading in there too. lol Because I'm me and that's a default setting. ;)
How have you survived the week? If you're as unhappy with the election as I am I hope you're staying safe and only protesting in positive ways. (As if my amazeballs readers would do anything else).
And what are we reading? I was hoping to be reading Heartless this weekend but when I realized that I'm 99% sure it's the book that'll be in this month's Owl Crate I canceled my preorder. Instead I'll be reading Christmas with the Sheriff by Victoria James and Poison's Kiss by Breeana Shields. Total polar opposites I know but that's just the kind of reader I am. I was in the mood for something Christmasy and I snagged an ARC of Poison's Kiss to review.
