Review: Divine Domination by Lili Valente

Divine Domination (Bought by the Billionaire Book 4)
Notes: ARC received via author.
Erotic Romance, BDSM, Romantic Suspense
Ebook (282 pages, SELFPUBLISHED)
WARNING: It's Book Four. You know what you're in for by now--more heat, more suspense, more head games, and more Jackson f*cking Hawke.
When Jackson gets his hands on the men who kidnapped Hannah, he's going to rip their hearts, still beating, from their chests.
Or worse.
No amount of pain or desecration seems sufficient punishment for the sin of taking Hannah away from him.
He won't stop until he has the woman he loves back in his arms and in his bed. But as the ugly truth behind his and Hannah's intertwined pasts is revealed, their love will face its greatest challenge yet.
* * Divine Domination is the 4th and final installment in the Bought by the Billionaire romance series. For maximum enjoyment it should be read after books 1, 2, and 3.* *

Dark and filthy romance that's sure to have your heart racing. (4 stars)

While I'll be the first to admit that not all of the sex scenes in this final installment were my cup of tea, I still enjoyed this one so much! The first half focuses pretty heavily on the suspense and reveals some very interesting secrets that you're sure to find exciting if you've been reading the serial. I felt like these revelations and how they had brought Hannah and Hawke together were the best part of the story.

Once the two got nice and comfortable with one another something felt a little less in their relationship and it may have just been that without the constant threat of danger I didn't feel as invested in it. Romances this dark always feel like they shouldn't end with a HEA to me though so it could just be that without that violence, chaos, and cliffhangers it felt tame. I am likely in the tiny minority that will think this way. It ends in such a way, however, that I'm really excited to see who Valente writes about next.

As a whole though, this is a great way to close out the serial and if you're looking for a dark romance where the sex is filthy good fun and the characters are unforgettable I simply must recommend it!
