Blog Tour: THE COLLECTOR'S SOCIETY by Heather Lyons [Guest Post + giveaway!]

Alice in Wonderland-how she and other fairy tales have played a role in your life.

I don’t actually remember how old I was when I first heard Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There. I was little, though, and my mother read them to me, and I was hooked. Over the years, I’ve read and reread those books too many times to count. You see, I’ve always had an active imagination. When I was younger, I loved dressing up and pretending to go on my own adventures. My imagination has always been vast. Books like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and other fairy tales allowed me to step into worlds and places that were so fantastical that they allowed my imagination to expand even further. I think, in a lot of ways, these stories are what fueled my love for genre—especially fantasy—and writing. Because once I heard them, devoured their words, dreamed of what lay in between the pages, I became obsessed with telling my own stories.

From the author of the Fate series and The Deep End of the Sea comes a fantastical romantic adventure that has Alice tumbling down the strangest rabbit hole yet.

After years in Wonderland, Alice has returned to England as an adult, desperate to reclaim sanity and control over her life. An enigmatic gentleman with an intriguing job offer too tempting to resist changes her plans for a calm existence, though. Soon, she’s whisked to New York and initiated into the Collectors’ Society, a secret organization whose members confirm that famous stories are anything but straightforward and that what she knows about the world is only a fraction of the truth.

It’s there she discovers villains are afoot—ones who want to shelve the lives of countless beings. Assigned to work with the mysterious and alluring Finn, Alice and the rest of the Collectors’ Society race against a doomsday clock in order to prevent further destruction . . . but will they make it before all their endings are erased?
