I have a ton to do today both behind-the-scenes here at the blog and in my offline life so I want to keep the post kinda short today. I haven't had much reading time this week because I've spent what's usually my reading time studying for a learner's permit. Yeah... if you didn't know I don't drive it's a long story but the short version is that I have a phobia and every few years my husband pushes me to try and overcome it. Which results in major stress. Send me good vibes if you can 'cause I'm going to need them.
Other 'new chapters' I've got going on involve a shift in my social media presence. I've had a lot of my family and personal friends complaining about seeing so much romance novel stuff—read: man titty book covers and steamy teasers—on their feeds thanks to me so I decided it's time to have a profile specifically for my presence as a blogger. The main benefit is that I get to be my 100% unfiltered self there so feel free to friend me if you like. I'm all for forming some reader and fellow blogger friendships there. That said, it's quite a process moving your digital presence from one account to another, all the reconnecting and disconnecting behind-the-scenes is a pain in the butt.
This weekend I'm reading Amy Plum's After the End because I made the mistake of grabbing a copy on Amazon Vine and now I have to find time to get it read before it puts my account on hold. The good news is it's pretty interesting and while it's not super action-packed I'm really curious to see where Plum takes the protagonists. I am still working on Going Down in Flames in snatches, it honestly started off poorly and while it has improved as I've continued to read it's definitely more for the actual young adult YA audience, not my cup of tea.
I meant to have started Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott's Rock, Rattle & Roll this week because I have a cameo appearance in it but the whole studying thing kinda chopped into that. If you dig sexy rock stars you should grab a copy, it's only 99¢ right now. Are you reading a hot rock n' roll romance this weekend? Or maybe a YA featuring dragons? Something a little more mystical and adventurous? Let me know in the comments and be sure to keep adding your entries for the JULY COMMENT CHALLENGE! ♥ -- Rhi
