Weekend Reading [06/15-06/17] :: The Evil Mouse & more...

What's up everybody? Can I get a little TGIF up in this blog or what? So uhm... I'ma try to keep this short 'cause I get the feeling no one wants to read my ramblings that have nothing to do with books...

We have a mouse! It's been bothering us for months actually. But we thought it was outside and finding a way in 'cause well, we live in Montana. There's a horse pasture behind our house. Lots of rodents of course. We were only hearing it in the ceiling over our bed and only when it snowed. But since we came home from Washington that little fucker wakes us up twice a night. *facepalm* I've been having a hard time falling asleep as it is thanks to lifelong insomnia but now that little turd is waking me once I fall asleep. I'm a zombie all day and all the coffee isn't helping my brain drain. Hopefully all the work we have been putting into catching and killing that awful rodent comes to fruition this weekend.

In the meantime I'm in a state of review constipation. :P Yes, I went there. I'm backed up and need enough sleep to write the right words for my reviews. It's funny how non-reviewers sometimes assume it's easy to just write down your thoughts and opinions on a book... a ten minute job maybe? Try anywhere from 2-4 hours. I know that's probably not the average for other reviewers but I'm very picky about how my review reads and tend to edit it to death before it gets published. Next week guys. I'll get on it. Promise!

So what are you guys reading right now? I'm seeing Fifty Shades of Grey everywhere. Like every other bandwagon I'm avoiding it like the plague. lol Let's just blame finding out several months back that it's Twilight fanfiction with a few edits and no paranormal elements for killing my desire to try it. I'm honestly not a BDSM erotica fan (for very personal reasons) anyway. It'd have to be extremely romantic at it's heart for me to choke it down. Your thoughts?

I'm reading The Bewitching Tale of Stormy Gale by Christine Bell (who is a real sweetie BTW), the sequel to The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale. I'll probably finish that tonight and get to work full-time on Tiger Lily, which has been really confusing so far.
I know I haven't officially mentioned it yet but I've had a Facebook page for RhiReading for a long time but I find social media is a timesuck so I wasn't using it. My friends and family there have been loving when I share Kindle freebies I find on FB though so I thought 'why the hell aren't I doing this on the RhiReading FB page?'... yeah, I'm going to try and make the effort. We'll see how I do. This is so NOT my area of expertise. lol

I'm out for the day folks. All three kids and a ton of household things to do so I get time to read. Have a good one and a very Happy Father's Day to all your dads out there! -- Rhi
