W.R. [10/7-10/9] :: Gone for the weekend!

TGIF! Eh, dear readers? I thought this week was never going to end. Nasty rainy weather and lots of stuff going on. I'm pooped. But alas not long after this post goes up I'll be getting a root canal so double crap! Hope you guys have much more pleasant stuff going on this weekend. I'm still not sure if we'll be having to lay sod or not, the rain has kind of put a hamper on our original plans for the weekend. Either way between the dental work and the yard I don't intend to be online for more than an email check.

This weekend I'll be struggling through The Darkest Secret by Gena Showalter. The Lords of the Underworld, like most of Gena's books, is hit or miss for me. So far this one isn't working for me. I suppose it's because a) Amun has never been very interesting to me and b) I still can't figure out what the heroine's name is supposed to be. Pick a pronunciation and stick with it! Bah! The way it's spelled I originally thought it was like Heidi but there've been 2 different pronunciations mentioned already that aren't that one and I can't recall how it was pronounced in Gideon's book. If I wasn't really hoping to like Paris' book I'd give up on this series I think. Ever have a series that is this hit and miss for you?

Anywho, gotta keep this short. Things to do and all that jazz. Have a fab weekend! -- Rhi
