In the randomness that is my bloggish life I stumbled upon info for a book called A Brush of Darkness many moons ago. As soon as I read that it included a pervy unicorn I was sold. As much as I read urban fantasy I am always hankering something different, something that's just... well, NEW! I began digging around madly in search of a publicist to contact so I could get an ARC. Alas there weren't any available. Apparently I was slow getting on the bandwagon. *doh*
Today, Bitten By Books is hosting a special release party chat and giveaway @ 12PM Central (which is like half an hour from now but since I made it to my computer on time I'm gonna try and be there).
In the meantime y'all should check out Allison's blog, website and go order a copy of her book
Anywho, I haven't read the book yet but I've been semi-stalking Allison on her blog lately. She's a lot of fun so even if I end up hating her book (doubt it) I'll be watchin' her authorly career with interest. :)

Awww, chica - You could have asked me! I had a few extra ARCs hanging around. :)
And thanks for the shout out today. :D
Looks interesting. Will just have to wait to see how my first job goes so I can buy some books that have been on my list forever.
I finally have the next two days off, so I get to read (finally).
Then Friday, I go back to trying to remember all the different kinds of cigarettes, chewing tobacco, etc. Personally, I think half of them should be taken away, so I wouldn't have that much to remember. ^^; Oh, well, Rome wasn't build in a day, so I guess I can't be expected to remember everything in a week (I have only worked about 5 days so far). ^^; I also wanted to kill some of the customers. Why can't people be nice and patient for cashiers? =__= TCH!
Allison - Oh bah! I was working with Erica, the publicist, on getting a review copy, she kept not having any books available. I was trying to go the "professional" route. See where that gets me? lol So happy for you to have your big debut though. :)
Blech on the cigarettes Iceprincess! And seriously dudelette I need a short nickname for you! But hey girlfriend a job is a job when you need money.
LOL... You can just call me koori. Koori means ice in Japanese.
Yeah, a job is a job. Luckily there is a glass thing between me and the customers, so I won't have to throw things at them. :X
LOL! Yeah any job where you're dealing with people can be... taxing on the patience. I have stories. But I do have good stories too so it isn't always bad. It probably depends on what the customer is buying/needs. I spent plenty of the time I was at my old job peole watching and imagining which ones were really spies or drag kings or whatever randomness something they did or wore inspired.
