Cover Share (1)

Something I decided to do during 2011 was make a point of sharing covers. We all love covers even though we're told not judge a book by them. Strangely enough some of my favorite books are ones I chose based on their covers so they matter to me. I hate seeing an excellent book with a shitty cover and vice versa. Yeah, I know some of these covers have been floating around for ages but while I've been making lists for books to buy and watch for over the next year I felt like some should get shared just in case you've missed them.

Visions of Magic: An Awakening Novel (#1) by Regan Hastings
February 1
I only just heard about this novel and am totally digging what I'm seeing and reading.

Warprize (Chronicles of the Warlands #1) by Elizabeth Vaughan
April 5
Warprize is a reprint with some bonus content, but I assure you it is one of my top 10 romance reads ever so it's worth buying again.

Warcry (Chronicles of the Warlands #4) by Elizabeth Vaughan
May 3
I thought this series was only going to be a trilogy but finally a fourth book, yay!

Dead on the Delta by Stacey Jay
May 31
One of my favorite authors and this is her adult debut which I can hardly sit still waiting for.

Changeling Moon by Dani Harper
May 31
Okie, so I'm not yet sure about the storyline but I loves me some shapeshifters and this cover is so eyecatching.

Virgin (Cat Star Chronicles #7) by Cheryl Brooks
June 1
I'm behind on this series and never have loved the covers (there is such a thing as too much man-titty) but this one is actually kind of sexy. This is one of my favorite erotic romance series with a paranormal and space operaesque feel to it.

Hunt the Moon: A Cassie Palmer Novel (#5) by Karen Chance
June 7
Another series I am behind on but I just love. This cover is pretty slick and I love the in-yer-face red dress.

Blood Secrets: An Alexandra Sabian Novel (#2) by Jeannie Holmes
June 28
No, admittedly I didn't think Jeannie's debut was flawless but it showed potential and her covers have been totally awesome. I think I may have a weakness for redhaired heroines.

A Shot in the Dark: A Jesse James Dawson Novel (Jesse Dawson #2) by K.A. Stewart
July 5
I so need to read the first book but here be the cover for the second.

Dead Iron: The Age of Steam (Cedar Hunt #1) by Devon Monk
July 5
Probably one of my most anticipated new series this year. Steampunk (or do we call it bustlepunk?) from Devon Monk? Sign me up.

Wildefire by Karsten Knight
July 26
This cover sold me on this book but as soon as I read the plot involved a volcano goddess I was sold. If this cover doesn't show up on All Things Urban Fantasy's Cover Awards 2011 list as a nominee I will be surprised.

Another Kind of Dead (Dreg City #3) by Kelly Meding
July 26
I haven't started this series yet but this cover totally caught my eye. Green is my favorite color and I wish I could wear that damn outfit. ha!
