Blogiversary GIVEAWAY extended! (& Weekend Reading)

Good morning dearest reading buddies! I miss getting to sleep in on Saturday mornings. Especially after staying up late reading books. ;)

This morning I'm making buckwheat pancakes and scrambled eggs for the hungry natives. Life outside the book world has been insane with my mother visiting. She came to "help" me out and meet the baby finally but I find myself scrambling around constantly to prove I don't need her. Ever do that with your parents? Sometimes I wonder what a book character with my personality would be like. Probably a very annoying alpha female type who had to control everything. No one would like me. lol I've been doing a lot more cooking from scratch and baking instead of reading. Not that I don't love impressing folks with my cookin' skills, I'd just rather be reading.

Especially with the stack of recent review copies I've accrued. Personal Demons by Lisa Desrochers, Passion Play by Beth Bernobich, and YA Dystopian themed Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I've decided to add Delirium to my list for the Reading Challenge!

This weekend I am working my way through The Hunger Games. How funny is it that my son came home from school with the same book the other day not knowing I was already reading it? Now if only I could actually get him to read it! So far I am loving it. Find it hard to put it down even though I want to work on Demon Angel—my Meljean Brook choice to start—since it's the longer one. Needless to say I am seeing why people are so in love with this trilogy. Might be my Christmas gift for the MIL.

Earlier this week mum and I went out (in the nasty rainy chill) and hit up a couple of the thrift shops. I came home with a huge stack of books from my overflowing wishlist but I think I ended up with a couple of doubles. I know for sure I got a Christine Feehan Carpathians I already had. My list would be so damn long it'd be hard to roll it out everytime I go somewhere... I wonder if maybe an iPad has a way to keep track of something like that. Would probably look funny—me standing in the used book aisle at Goodwill checking my iPad—though. ;)

In other RhiReading news... I decided to extend the Blogiversary Giveaway until the end of the month. Only one of you followers has entered so far and I haven't had time add the giveaway to any lists. :( So frustrating! If you've got a blog yourself I would totally appreciate you nudging your readers this way just in case they are interested in the giveaway.

Anywho... much shopping for first birthday party supplies and stuff going on this weekend. Hope y'all have a really good one. -- Rhi
